Text Box: Five Year Plan
Our workshop rotation is part of a five-year plan, centered around five major themes, or pillars, that we feel are important areas to explore during a child’s religious education. The schedule will proceed as follows:

Year One	Unitarian Universalist Principles
Year Two	Unitarian Universalist Heritage
Year Three	Earth Religions and Humanism
Year Four	Old Testament Stories
Year Five	Religions of the Prophets—Jesus,
		Mohammed, Buddha

Coming of Age
The Coming of Age Program is a valuable, year-long experience for our seventh and eighth graders. Participants will explore what it means to them personally to be a Unitarian Universalist and what it means to be part of AUUC. During the church year, we will visit other UU churches in the Pittsburgh area, as well as other religious institutions. We will also participate in service projects, both in the church and in the community. In the spring, the coming of age class will participate in a special service, in which they will share their experiences with the congregation.

Youth Program
Youth group meetings will take place on Sunday evenings. The youth program for seventh grade through high school at AUUC provides the youth in the congregation with a structure in which to explore their spiritual needs by involving them directly in the church community and by involving the church community with the youth.
