PICNIC
Sunday, June 11,
2006– immediately following the church service
Donnevale Grove,
North Park
Donnevale Grove is on South Ridge Road, which is part of the loop that starts near Pie Traynor Field (near the swimming pool). Travel time from the Church is 20 – 25 minutes.
· From the North Side, travel north on I-279 North to Exit 11/McKnight Road.
· Once you are on the exit ramp, stay to the left and merge onto McKnight Road. Continue traveling north on McKnight Road for about 4.5 miles. Along the way, you will pass the entrances to Ross Park Mall and the turn-off for McIntyre Road on the right, and you will see Northway Mall ahead on the left and McIntyre Square ahead on the right. You need to be in the right lane.
· Bear to the right onto Peebles Road and follow Peebles Road for about 2.6 miles until it comes to a “T” with Hemlock Drive in North Park.
· Turn left onto Hemlock Drive for about 0.1 mile.
· Turn right at the sign for Pie Traynor Field. ***After you turn, the swimming pool parking lot will be on your left. Follow the road along to the right, toward Pie Traynor Field (which will be on your right). After passing Pie Traynor Field, continue for about 0.5 mile.
· Turn left at Beveridge Grove. After you turn, ball fields will be on your right. Proceed for about 0.1 mile to the stop sign. A children’s play area and Donnevale Grove are directly ahead.
(Note: If you miss the left turn at Beveridge Grove, fear not! Just continue on South Ridge Road for about 0.5 mile until you come to the stop sign. The children’s play area and Donnevale Grove will be to your right.
Also note: If you have trouble getting into the right lane on McKnight Road and miss the right onto Peebles Road, continue on McKnight Road to the intersection after Peebles Road, where Babcock Boulevard bears off to the right. Follow Babcock Boulevard past LaRoche College, Passavant Hospital, and Beattie Tech. Just after entering North Park there is a sign for Hemlock Drive and the swimming pool. Turn right onto Hemlock Drive almost immediately bear left at the swimming pool parking lot and the sign for Pie Traynor Field. Follow the directions from *** above.)
