Sunday morning worship at Allegheny offers an opportunity to find spiritual refreshment, inspiration, and joy. We worship together in the sanctuary and online through Zoom. For Zoom access, please contact us.
Services are lay-led by members and friends of the congregation with Rev. Deryck Tines providing a monthly message, typically on the third Sunday. During our other services, we regularly have guest speakers from the wider UU world, the artistic community, and the local justice community. Join us every Sunday for a unique experience at Soul Space, followed by Worship Café.
Soul Space at 10:30 am
Together we create a peaceful space for prayer and reflection. This weekly meditation begins with welcoming words and a time for our prayers and intentions. An invitation to stillness and a period of reflection conclude the service.
Worship Café at 11:00 am
Each week at the Worship Café, Allegheny welcomes a fellow traveler on life’s journey. Café guests share their thoughts and passions to inspire us on the way.

May 5 | Margaret Connor
Maggie Connor has been a North Side resident and church neighbor for 17 years. She has been actively involved in several neighborhood groups including the Northside Leadership Conference. She has a passion for urban design, public process, and community planning, advocating for transparent and inclusive design processes. Maggie joins her friend and colleague, Donald Zeilman in conversation at Worship Café this morning.
May 12 | Samuel Orbison
Samuel Orbison, Pittsburgh native and Lawrenceville resident, is a queer writer who mainly focuses on poetry and prayer. His writing draws from his life experiences, journaling, his connection to tarot, plant medicine ceremonies, dreams, and epic poetry. He considers himself an omnist and believes the truth surrounding the presence of God or spirit can be found in all theological forms. Through his creative work, he shares his story of grief, self-discovery, and self-love, and hopes to share this same healing connection with a wider audience in his books. Sam is a friend of the congregation, and we welcome him as our Worship Café guest.
