Pittsburgh, PA 15212The DownUnder Coffeehouse features the finest in local acoustic music. The coffeehouse is open monthly on the third Saturday of the month (more or less), Sept through May. We are located in the newly renovated basement of the Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church, 416 West North Ave, on the corner of West North Ave and Resaca Place, in Pittsburgh's historic North Side in the Mexican War Street neighborhood, near the National Aviary.

Monongahela Sheiks Trio, Pittsburgh's hottest jugband, featuring Bill Weiner, Steve Weber and Jack Stein for a wonderful evening of old-timey, blues, and early American acoustic music. Opening the evening with tight harmonies and acoustic standards will be the folk duo, Milner & Kobertz, in their DownUnder debut.

Molly in the Crowd (Meikle, Metil and friends). Music from Scotland and around the world. John Meikle and Robert Metil will bring their multitude of instruments for an evening of story, song, and good humor. March 18, 2006 6:00-10:00pm
Allegheny Talent Show. The regular coffeehouse will be on hiatus this month, as we host the annual Allegheny UU Talent Show Extravaganza! April 22, 2006 7:30-9:30pm
Eve Goodman and Jack. A Pittsburgh treasure, Eve Goodman. is back for her third DownUnder show. Eve’s music is a wonderful mixture of engaging stories told over delightful melodies, all back with her stunning guitar work.
The band Jack features three of the most loved songwriters from the Calliope Songwriters Circle: Stacy Mates, Dave LaRose and George Kantor. Their music draws on folk, rock and blues for influence, blending intricate rhythms with tight harmonies.

Songwriter's Night. Come hear three of Pittsburgh's newest and most intriguing singer-songwriters: Bill Eberle, Autumn Ayers and Sue Gartland. Each has crafted a unique style that is sure to please. Come support local home-grown music in a relaxed coffeehouse setting.
