The April 2009 show with the Riveting Rosies will be the final performance of the DownUnder Coffeehouse Concert Series, which has been a fixture of local music scene on the North Side. Thanks to all who have supported local acoustic music and please join us on April 18 for a celebration of seven years of music on the North Side. The DownUnder Coffeehouse features the finest in local acoustic music. The coffeehouse is open monthly on the third Saturday of the month (more or less), October through April.  We are located in the newly renovated basement of the Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church, 416 West North Ave, on the corner of West North Ave and Resaca Place, in Pittsburgh's historic North Side in the Mexican War Street neighborhood, near the National Aviary. Baked goods, desserts and beverages will be for sale during the concert and the coffee is always free. Suggested donation is $5.  Click here for Directions to the Church. SATURDAY Jan 17, 2009 7:30-9:30pm	Bésame Besame, specializing in music from Latin America, with emphasis on the sounds of Colombia. Featuring Jorge Delgado's on guitar, Melissa Alliston on percussion,Paul Cindric on soprano sax and Roger Day on tuba.
SATURDAY Feb 21, 2009 7:30-9:30pm	Mike Strasser & Mark Dignam Somewhere between Lyle Lovett and Roy Orbison, Mike Strasser is one of the finest songwriters in Pittsburgh. Check out his latest CD, Rash Behaviors, for a sample. Mark Dignam is an Irish born, US based songwriter who began as a busker on the streets of Dublin. SATURDAY Apr 18, 2009 7:30-9:30pm	Riveting Rosies The Rosies are a collective of Pittsburgh's finest women singer-songwriters: Stacy Mates, Patti Spinner (Everyday Parade), Janet Ingram, Eve Goodman, Sue Gartland, Heather Kropf, and Tracy Drach (Drach & Droll; not pictured). It will be an evening of great music as they play, harmonize, and put their own special mark on each others songs.
