What would it mean for UUs to be identified as a “Peace Church”? How would that change the way we speak and act and relate? Is this desirable and achievable? The issue may eventually become a resolution coming before the General Assembly. What feedback can we put forth from participating in this crucial study?
Children's Activities
This is to inform you about the children’s activities we have planned for the day! The theme for Saturday is, “Working for a Peaceful, Fair and Free World.” What can kids do to work for a Peaceful, Fair and Free World? How can we create peace?
10am – 12:00pm: Elementary school (through 6th grade) hands on activities that address the above topic. There will be simulation games and peace flag making.
1:00pm – 3:30pm: We will prepare materials and a short recitation to share in the Closing Worship service. We will reflect further on what we can do to create peace…within ourselves, with others, and in the environment in an active, hands-on way.
