Sunday 6 December ~ 10:30 am ~ Rev Chester McCall ~ Creating A Jubilee World
Story for All Ages and Coming of Age Service. As the Jubilee World workshop ends this service will explore how racism impacts all of our lives and ways we can recognize and respond to make our neighborhood stronger.

Sunday 13 December Service ~ 10:30 am ~ Art and Soul
Artists will share some of their spiritual foundations and how it inspires their art.
Today's service will be followed by an Arts Open House sponsored by the Worship Committee featuring the day's service speakers and simple arts activities including card and gift making, singing, and other family friendly stuff to do.

Celebrate the music, traditions, and beauty of the season at a Christmas Eve candlelight service at Allegheny UU Church.
Sunday 27 December ~ 10:30 am ~ Kwanzaa - Understanding the Red Candles
Intergenerational service. Come to hear about injustice and hope as they illuminate the Kwanzaa celebration.

Thursday 31 December ~ New Year’s Eve Open House
(8:00 pm - 11:00pm) ~ New Year’s Eve Watch Night Meditation Service (11:00 pm)
Looking for an alternative to the usual frenetic New Year’s Eve activities? Why not join us at Allegheny’s annual Watchnight Open House and Meditation Service! This traditional event has been a favorite for those who prefer a more personal and reflective New Year’s Eve. Join us any time between 8:00 and 11:00 o’clock for conversation, food, and drink. Stay for the whole time, or just stop by on your way to and from other activities. The Meditation Service begins at 11 o’clock and will offer a reflective pause on the cusp of 2010. The countdown and first toast follow at midnight on the church steps.

Creating a Jubilee World Anti-racism Workshop
Friday, December 4 ~ 6 pm - 9:30 pm
Reception, film, discussion Saturday, December 5 ~ 9 am - 5 pm
Professionally facilitated anti-racism activities
'Increase awareness of racism within our faith communities and the larger community;
'Recognize its power/privilege from personal and institutional perspectives;
'Identify activities and responses that promote the elimination of racism; and
'Identify the challenges and barriers to working toward eliminating racism.
