Upcoming Services

Sunday 1 February

Sunday Service – Speaker: Rev. Dave McFarland

Race Still Matters - With the election of the United States' first African American president, pundits have proclaimed a post-racist America. Join Rev. Dave as he celebrates this historic moment, celebrates the possibility of moving beyond race, and reflects on how close we may (or may not) be to fulfilling that dream.

– Greeters: Jane Dirks & Pete McQuillin
– Refreshments: Jane Schwarz & Darrin Tidrick

Sunday 8 February
9:30 am Communion Service

This monthly, half-hour service celebrates and strengthens our commitment to justice. Traditional symbols are used, but all will feel welcome regardless of belief.

10:30 am Sunday Service – Speaker: Annabelle Clippinger

Stirrings of the Earth: An Inner Awakening - In early February, those who follow earth-based religions begin to sense a change in the winter landscape. Robins start their songs from the tree-tops, glutting themselves on leftover crabapples; and there are early stirrings of the earth that mirror an inner awakening in us. Known as Candlemas or Imbloc, this holiday has a great beauty of its own. This service explores the process of rest necessary before regeneration and the spirit of the light within.

– Greeters: Andy Schwarz & Jackie Svitek
– Refreshments: Jennifer Burke & Jenny Stout

Sunday 15 February
10:30 am Sunday Service– Speaker: Rev. Dave McFarland

Globalize Love - Reflecting on his academic work in global ethics, Rev. Dave witnesses to the potential for a global ethic of Love especially as it reflects the mission of our Unitarian Universalist congregation. Make it a full Valentine's Day weekend celebration!

– Greeters: Annabelle and David Clippinger
– Refreshments: Marnie Schilken, Mark Hoffman & Peggy Thompson
