Social Justice Ministry sets focus on Racial Justice... 2008 Annual Stewardship Drive
Please note that the First Unitartian Church of Pittsburgh is offering a vigil and reflection service on Sunday August 10 in response to the shootings at Knoxville last week. They invite anyone interested to attend.

Jefferson Recreation Center Reflections: Racial Justice Ministry

Allegheny UU Church has been involved at the neighborhood Jefferson Recreation Center for about a year, providing the children and teens there with a wide variety of arts and crafts, and working towards racial justice in our community. Volunteers will reflect on their work and how it has been shaped by, and shapes, their spiritual practices.

The Dharma of Living: Understanding and Using Buddhist Principles: Ven. Shih Tao-Fa

Resident Instructor of Mountain Wind Zen Meditation, Ven. Shih Tao-Fa, will discuss the fundamental tenets of Zen Buddhism and how those ideas are relevant to everyday existence and to a wide range of religious beliefs.

Join us as we honor and celebrate the web of life, and the pets and other animals which have touched our hearts. You are invited to bring your animal companions along (on leashes or in carriers). We will not be holding our monthly 9:30 am Communion Services during the months of June, July, and August. Join us for the next Communion Service on 14 September.
