Services for December 2006

December 3 - 10:30 am - Sewing Threads into the Quilt of Life, Rev. David McFarland

On this commemoration of the twenty-fifth World AIDS Day, Rev. Dave will reflect on the AIDS Quilt as a metaphor for life, for healing, and for the blessed community. Pieces of the NAMES Project's AIDS Quilt will be at the church. Check future newsletters for more details on public viewing of the Quilt.

December 10 - 10:30 am - Alignment with Our Values, Nancy Fitzgerald

It's your money or your life especially at the holidays; we'll consider how to change our thinking so it's more in tune with our values.

December 17 - 10:30 am -  Earth Light / Sacred Light, Rev. David McFarland

At our annual celebration of the Holidays of Light, we’ll explore what it means to bring light to the darkness. This inter-generational celebration is always full of love and life. We hope to see you there!

December 24

9:30 am - Sand Mandala Meditation, Linda Deafenbaugh
Let go of the stresses of the season in this circle of creation, healing and meditation

10:00 am - Naming Ceremony for Grady Quinlan!
The Congregation is invited to attend this special occasion along with parents Michelle and Greg and their families.

10:30 am - Winter Solstice and the Call to the Hero's Journey, Linda Deafenbaugh
Pulling inspiration from her journey to Peru, Linda will lead us in a celebration of the inner stirrings of the earth and in a ritual to begin a year-long spiritual quest for all who answer the call.

7:00 pm  Christmas Eve Service
Our traditional Christmas Eve service full of carols and candlelight.  A party immediately following the service will be open to all and held at the home of Jennifer and Glenn who live in the neighborhood.

Member Kathy Kozachenko will explore letting go of past mistakes and preparing for a spiritual journey in the New Year.
