Upcoming Unitarian Universalists United for Faith in Action Events

April 21 (Sunday): Follow-up meeting from Michael Lerner event, 12:30 pm at Church of the Redeemer, Squirrel Hill (need to RSVP, let me know if you want to go). For the formation of a Pittsburgh chapter of the Network of Spiritual Progressives, a national movement for progressive values in the political arena.

April 25 (Tuesday): City Proclamation for Darfur, City-County Building, Downtown. 9:30 am: PDEC (Pgh Darfur Emergency Coalition) will present copies of ~12,000 postcards for Darfur to Congressman Mike Doyle. The actual postcards will be delivered to legislators in Washington D.C. on April 30. At 10:00 am, there will be a reading of the proclamation by Councilman Peduto.

April 30 (Sunday): Rally for Darfur in Washington D.C. See www.pittsburghdarfur.org for bus information. Bill Peduto is taking the bus!

May 18 (Thursday): UUUFA meeting!! Regional Equity presentation by Sharon Pillar. Location TBA.

May 21 (Sunday): Citizen's Hearing for Health Care Reform, 1:30 - 5:00 pm, Temple Sinai, Squirrel Hill. Will include discussion with legislators on both HR676, National Health Insurance Act (introduced by John Conyers, who will be at the meeting), and PA's SB1085, Balanced and Comprehensive Health Care Reform Act (introduced by Jim Ferlo).
